Updates & "Key Changes" on My Latest Happenings...
It's been while since I've been here & that's because I've been so busy with work. I've just completed 2 projects back to back within the past month for 2 musical productions for the Ryan Repertory Theater. I worked as the lighting operator for Introducing Harry Warren - a fantastic production of the history & life of Harry Warren & the great songs he composed & wrote:

I met & get to know Harry Warren's grand-daughter - Ms. Julia Riva - who was also the playwright & made lots of great friends with the talented cast of performers. The same is true for the other production that followed - Key Changes (http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=119879184726168&ref=ts).
"Key Changes" was another magnificent production with great music, a superb script & a medley of beautiful & meaningful songs. It was a show that touched on how changes in our lives affect us & mould us into who we are & what we become.
The performances, songs & music touched me to the point of tears. In certain moments of the shows, I cried as I worked the lights during these productions. I guess what I really feel most proud about working in the 2 productions was how fast I learnt & picked up a new skill, i.e. operating a lighting board that had 2 rows of 24 dimmers, which means 48 lights. I learnt how to work the lights with great timing & accuracy from numerous lighting cues on the script & I did all that on a quick & short learning curve too. And I learnt it all thanks to my director & good friend, Barbara. After "Key Changes", I helped Barbara pack & move homes & that ironically seemed to be a "key change" in her life.
The summer kicked off with a huge heatwave that saw me getting really sick for about a week, during which time I lost my voice for 2 days. Now I'm looking forward to more work, especially with The Actors Project NYC with our showcase in October & From the Hip - a 48 hr play festival that I took part in back in May this year.
Auditions have been slow but I plan on picking up & moving along with more of them. I hope life gets better in terms of the financial situation. God knows that I could use some more income for my bills & stuff. I just have to keep trucking along for now... ♥♥♥
